India: A Nation Of Godmen

Dhirendra krishna shastri

India is a country of religion and culture, there is a lot of diversity in it, but still there is one thing that can bring about 80% of the population here together and that is religion, Hinduism. The faith of Hindus has been taken advantage of from time to time and it is taken even today, sometimes politics takes advantage of it and sometimes religious gurus. From time to time new Godmen are being made in the country. Always the responsibility of temples and mathas has been given to a special class, it is very difficult for any outsider to come in it, so they start doing something different. Here you will find astrologers and miraculous Baba's at every place. This goes on in large numbers, we consider astrology as a subject and we do not oppose it, but miracles are a serious matter, it becomes more serious when those who claim themselves as miraculous become famous at the state or national level. It seems that they are told again and called "godman".

Godmen are made in every country and belong to every religion. There are many categories in India as preachers of religion, there are those who give sermons, some who recite scriptures and some who show miracles, all these can be right in their place, but the history of this field is quite different in the world. It has been horrifying, there is also an American preacher Guru Jim Jones, who put 909 of his devotees into superstition and killed them with murder-suicide, this was the reason why the American government kept a special eye on Osho

Controversial Saints

Later on, these so-called godmen or saints made a cult, there are many names in them like Nityananda, Asaram, Ram Rahim etc. Devotees of those who run such cults keep faith in them even after they have been found guilty. Governments have taken a lot of action on these godmen, but it becomes difficult to take action against them when they start running their cult by associating it with some religion. This is going to be more difficult in today's India, the present government of India considers Hindus as their first voter, due to which society has changed a lot and sensitive too, new India does not want to hear a word against Hindus, no matter what the condition may be; taking action against is going to get more complicated going forward.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri

In the last few days, a new miraculous baba "Dhirendra Krishna Shastri" also known as "बागेश्वर धाम सरकारis becoming famous, at this time all the media of the country is covering him, some are exposing his magic and some are propagating themselves as devotees. Shastri says that he has the grace of Bajrangbali, so that he can read the minds of others. He also describes himself as an extremist Hindu and considering the atmosphere of today's India, he also supports and propagates radical Hindutva. Allegations of land grab are also being leveled against Shastri and he also aims to build a hospital and trust.

We don't know how to see the future, that's why we can wait to see how his story will be.

Sometimes the rise and fall of some gurus coincides with the change of government.

“As a country, we have always believed in miracles,” says sociologist Pranali Kakkar. “We often trust them more than even our own family member. While you can pray to a god, with these so-called godmen, you can have two-way communication, which gives their followers more hope.”

We do not insult or oppose any religion, this blog is only against the cults running under the guise of religions.
